Meet the SWA Team: Dalton, Jordan, & Amit

We would like to congratulate two of our newest FIRST OFFICERS on successfully completing both their Metroliner and Falcon 20 checkrides. DALTON OTERO came into Sierra West Airlines just shy of 700 hours total time after flight instructing and doing aerial imaging. An interesting fact about Dalton is that he drives a camouflage BMW M3 and he is attending Embry Riddle online. Dalton’s favorite thing about SWA is the room for growth and stability.  JORDAN WRIGHT is an El Paso native who joined the SWA team with around 275 hours total time. This is Jordan’s first flight crew position. Jordan’s “pilot birthday” is January 30th – on 1/30 in 2016 he received his private pilot license and on 1/30 in 2018 he began employment with Sierra West. Jordan turned down playing college baseball to pursue his career in aviation and loves his decision. His favorite thing about being a pilot for SWA is the opportunity to be dual-typed at the young age of twenty!

We would also like to shout out our First Officer that recently upgrade to a Metroliner Captain position! AMIT MURUDKAR developed a passion for flying at a very young age. In his graduating class of over 200 students, he is the only one who took up aviation. Amit likes Sierra West Airlines because they have always treated him well. He likes that it is a big company but still small enough where everyone knows your name. His favorite part of the job is doing animal rescue trips because they are so satisfying at the end of the trip. Amit looks forward to the big responsibility and challenge that being a captain possesses. He looks forward to the opportunity to continue to build his skills and experience. Outside of work he likes to hang out with other SWA flight crew members. He also enjoys playing pool, swimming, and outdoor adventures. Congrats Amit!
